I would like to share one of the geekiest things that I have ever created. As some of you might know I’m doing a one year challenge where I study successful people, their habits and routines. Then I try to implement these habits into my own life to see if some of that success will rub off on me.
Today I made a huge step in my own productivity. I have made a form in Open Office which combines the tools I’m currently using on a daily basis.
I listened to the Tim Ferriss Show Podcast a couple of days ago. Tim was talking about how to avoid decision fatigue by using a checklist. So I decided to make my whole life into a checklist. Have a look at the pictures below and you will see what I’m talking about.
I used to be a major procrastinator. I’m hoping that this tool will help me minimize that feature of my personality. My conclusion after one day of using it is that it feels like being on productivity steroids. I can’t believe how much I’ve accomplished in one day.
I’m currently working on a tool version that I can share with my readers. The checklist part of the tool is going to have empty text fields so that you can create your own day.
Read “If the project is the lion, the checklist is the whip!” if you want to know more about the checklist topic.
Let me know what you think about this, leave a comment!
