MORNING

DIARY

This morning I over slept. Instead of waking up at 4:30 am as I normally do I must’ve killed the alarm in my sleep. I didn’t fall asleep until 1 am last night so I guess I needed the hours. Instead I woke up at 7 am. Got the kids to school barely in time and then I calmly made a point to continue my day as usual.

Let’s say this would’ve been three years ago. My day would’ve been ruined. Realizing that I’m messing up my schedule that early in the morning and that I was falling behind would’ve sent me over the edge. But not any more and why is that?

For many years now I have gathered tools from some of the most inspiring people in the world. I read as many books I can, I listen to podcasts, I meditate, I journal, I study interviews of people that I look up to. I’m slowly starting to find my way. I used to drink, smoke and procrastinate my life away so this change is very powerful.

Now if this is the first time you stumble across my Morning Diary you might think :

– Who the “heal” is this guy and what kind of proof does he have for this change he is talking about?

My answer is this :

– At this moment I’m not even interested in trying to prove anything to anyone. This website is anonymous for now and I don’t even know if it’s ever going to be anything else. I’m experimenting with everything I learn. I develop tools to apply all the wisdom that is already out there in the world. I sold everything I owned and I moved from a cold country to a tropical island on the other side of the world. English is my second language and I’m currently working on a third one which will be French. I am nothing special, but I’m experiencing amazing things and I’m hoping one day I can inspire someone to do the same. Why? Because it’s an amazing feeling to take charge of ones life. I’m dedicating one year of my life to get rid of as many bad habits as possible and replacing them with life changing routines and habits that I steal from the smartest and most successful people in the world.

The little piece of insight that I will share with you today is how I get my lazy ass to the gym 6 times a week, losing tons of weight and gaining in strength every week at a tender age of 40.

Here’s my holy workout grail :

  1. I use the Buck it or Fuck it calendar which I developed from studying Jerry Seinfeld.

  2. I have a daily workout spot in my calendar. It’s between 8am – 9am every morning.

  3. I compare going to the gym to brushing my teeth these days. I don’t make a big deal out of it. I don’t talk about it as if it is an amazing experience, even if I thing it is. I just do it!

There is also another thing that I would like to share that has provided me with so much power. It’s the way I’m now able to handle stress and changes in my calendar.

Here’s my holy stress soothing grail :

        1. I keep a schedule on how my days will look.

        2. The weekly schedules are pretty much the same from week to week. Except for when I decide to change one of my main experiments or researches.

        3. Every day I have several hours in my schedule which are dedicated to free work. These slots are completely open to do things I would love to do right now. Right now I love to write in my Diary, it makes me feel like I didn’t lose any time or life when I over slept earlier this morning.

This kind of life style would’ve been impossible for me to consider a couple of years ago. I would’ve said, no way! I want to be free to do whatever I want to do in my life. I’m not going to follow no schedule.

The trick is to fill your schedule with the things that you love the most. Family, friends, exercise, wine and good food should most definitely be on your list, but only if you really want it to be. Maybe you like video games… Put it in your schedule man! Stop being a victim of circumstance, start planning your way to success.

My definition of success is not necessarily fame and wealth but rather happiness and health!
